Radio Mirchi parent co acquires Gaana for Rs 25 lakh

Gaana has been acquired by Radio Mirchi's parent company for Rs 25 lakh, media networks have reported.

While Gaana's parent company is Times Internet, Times Group's subsidiary Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) operates Radio Mirchi.

As per a report, in a recent earnings call, ENIL CEO spoke of the integration of Gaana in December 2023. The platform, according to Yatish Mehrishi, is now a subscription-model business and since the earlier pricing of Rs 299 was not feasible the rate has been increased to Rs 599.

ENIL's domestic revenues for Q1 FY25 stands at Rs 109.4 crore, a 19.3% increase YoY.
